A vertebral centrum from the Kimmeridge clay
of Dorset (exact site unrecorded). Figured and described as
M. ?thyreospondylus by J.B.Delair under
the sub-heading "The largest known British Kimmeridgian Ichthyosaur"
in "Some Little Known Jurassic Ichthyosaurs from
Dorset", 1986. Proc. Dorset Nat. Hist. & Arch. Soc., vol.107
(1985), pp.127-134 (see pp.133-134, pl.4).
